"Sabotage" by The Beastie Boys This song encapsulates what I think of our new ideological education system that takes innocence away from children, extinguishes open debate and democratic discussion and encourages silencing the opposition. It takes authority over parents, defies science and attacks anyone capable of critical thinking. It is all in the name of “inclusion”…but what it does is destroy: womens rights, the reputation of the LGBTQIA+ community, the rights of parents to decide for their own children and destroys the notion that men and women can simply be gay or lesbian by replacing it with the idea that they must change sex to be affirmed, validated and supported. The LGBTQIA+ community in this country has unwittingly allowed it’s plea for respect and rights to be the mouthpiece of a political agenda meant to destroy the fabric of parenthood, childhood and sexuality. And all of this happening blindly in the name of “inclusion”. What we are actually doing is excluding… Excluding parents, excluding gay and lesbian men and women by affirming to children they could be a different sex if they question their gender or sexuality. It is nothing but a wide spread SABOTAGE of our children and future society. I don't hate anyone. I respect all people on both sides of the argument and I want everyone to feel respected..however our children don't need to be taught this in the classroom. It is an adult-rated political topic that has been fast-tracked into the classroom. Every kid questions their sexuality at one point or another, but the minute you prey on our children’s innocence, insecurities and self-identity, I can't stay silent. Politics and modern ideologies have no place in elementary school classrooms. Math, science, language and the arts do.
