How To Play Sixteenth Rhythms w/ Dotted Eighth Notes | Easy Drum Fills w/ Play-Alongs
There are so many sixteenth note rhythms to learn. Two of these rhythms that can sometimes be confusing for drummers are the ones that use dotted eighth notes. I will break down these two rhythms for you and show you how you can practice them as easy drum fills that sound cool!
The first is a dotted eighth note followed by one 1/16th note. When these two notes are attached is it always the (1, ah). The second is the reverse. A single sixteenth note attached to a dotted eighth note. That will always be the (1,ee). We will be combining these two rhythms with sixteenth notes to form a series of related sixteenth rhythms that we can play as fun drum fills.
